🚨 Introduction:

Most beginner traders lose money in their first month — not because the market is rigged, but because they make the same avoidable mistakes. If you’re serious about trading success, the first 30 days are critical. Here’s how to avoid the common traps and start your journey the right way.

✅ Want help building a real foundation? Start with our Free Trading Course — no fluff, just 1 hour of focused education for real traders ready to learn.

1. Trading Without a Plan

Mistake: Jumping into trades based on emotion, hype, or FOMO. This is especially common with new traders that aren’t following a specific strategy.

Fix: Use structured trade plans every day — entries, exits, stop loss, and risk. Simple strategies, like the Opening Range Breakout, give us these crucial levels so we can execute based on the price action, not our emotions!

2. Risking Too Much Per Trade

Mistake: Going “all-in” or risking a large portion of your account on single trades. Many new traders think about how much they stand to make if they’re right, but don’t think about how much they stand to lose if they’re wrong.

Fix: Use risk management — 1–2% per trade max ideally. Our members follow strict size rules. Day trading is a marathon, not a sprint. Live to trade another day!

3. Overtrading

Mistake: Taking 10+ trades a day trying to “make it back.” Again, without specific trade plans or rules you may find yourself doing this.

Fix: Only trade A+ setups. Be selective, not busy. Sometimes no trade is the best trade!

🧠 Use scanners to filter the market for setups meeting your trading criteria.

4. Ignoring Journaling

Mistake: Not tracking your trades = no feedback = no improvement. The best day traders track data to learn from their mistakes and hone in on their strengths.

Fix: Journal every trade. Track data for the setups that you trade frequently. You’ll start to notice patterns that you can use to refine your trading.

🔄 Our members log trades daily using a simple system taught in the Boot Camp.

5. Trading Alone Without Feedback

Mistake: Learning in isolation with no mentorship or guidance. You might get there… but it will certainly take longer and cost more due to unnecessary losses.

Fix: Trade inside a structured community with accountability. There’s no shame in learning from others. The best institutional traders in the world trade and grow together.

6. Chasing Alerts Without Understanding the Why

Mistake: Following trade alerts without context. When is the last time you heard of a full-time alert follower? Never. Great traders may start out following alerts, but they’ll eventually learn enough to not need them.

Fix: Only use alerts if you understand the strategy being used and the thought process behind them.

📢 We post live alerts and give you the resources to learn the strategies that the alerts are based on. Get them inside the Market Master Group.

7. Trying to Learn Everything at Once

Mistake: Bouncing between strategies, indicators, and YouTube videos. They’ll help, but only if you apply them!

Fix: Start with a simple framework and build slowly. Do some simulated trading during this learning phase to see what works and what doesn’t.
